CCSA will celebrate National Charter Schools Week by hosting our Annual Advocacy Day in Sacramento on Tuesday May 3, 2016. Registration is now open! This event is a benefit of membership and is complimentary to individuals from CCSA member schools.
Advocacy Day is an opportunity for you or for a team from your school to attend a day of meetings in Sacramento with your local legislators on the issues facing charter schools.
For the second year in a row, CCSA will hold a Youth Symposium that includes targeted programming for junior high and high school students. Youth should plan to participate in the symposium for the entire afternoon. Programming will include a guest speaker, a panel of Capitol Fellowship Program participants who will share their experience of working in the legislature, and a tour of the State Capitol.
In 2015, over 300 charter advocates traveled to the State Capitol and demonstrated the incredible strength and growth of the charter schools movement--our largest Advocacy Day to date! Check out Advocacy Day 2015 using the hashtag #CCSAAdvocacyDay. And be sure to follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to stay updated.
Don't forget to register for the 2016 CCSA Advocacy Day today!
