Los Angeles’ seven elected school board members make decisions every day about your child’s future. And right now, the majority of these school board members are more focused on keeping great schools away from our kids (LA School Board Denies Aspire Schools) than on ensuring all our children get an excellent education.
This June there is an election for School Board District 1 that could tip the balance of the board in favor of kids and schools, not vested special interests.
Can you join us at a Candidate Forum, on Wednesday May 14th to meet five of the confirmed candidates for Board District 1 and hear them respond to our community’s questions about their support of excellent public charter schools?
Which candidate will fight the hardest for excellent schools in every zip code? Which candidate will represent children and parents, not the status quo? Which candidate will support great teachers at public charter schools and traditional public schools alike?
It’s up to us to find out. Join us on May 14th.
