CCSA Advocates-endorsed candidate Steve Glazer emerged victorious in a special election in California State Senate District 7. Glazer defeated Assemblymember Susan Bonilla by a margin of 54.6% to 54.6%.
CCSA Advocates Executive Director Gary Borden said, “We are pleased to congratulate Mr. Glazer on his victory in SD7. Voters in the East Bay have made a decision, and we were happy to have played a small part in Steve’s victory.” Continued Borden: “We also wanted to congratulate Assemblymember Bonilla on a well-run campaign.”
Senate District 7 covers much of the East Bay, including Livermore, Lafayette, Walnut Creek and Danville. Glazer is the current mayor of Orinda.
Concluded Borden: “We are confident that Mr. Glazer will make a great legislator and we look forward to working with him and others in advancing public education issues in the legislature.”
